Working with third-year college students has been and continues to be an incredbily rewarding experience. I began teaching Studio IV for the summer semester in Berlin as an adjunct professor at my alma mater, Wentworth Institute of Technology, in 2018. This is the very same study abroad program, which dramatically changed the tragectory of my life. After becoming enamoured with Berlin when I first came in 2012, I applied and was granted admission to the Art Academy of Berlin (KHB Weissensee), immediatly following my first exchange semester with WIT. Returning to Boston only briefly to finish my bachelors of industrial design, I returned once more to earn a masters degree in Product Design from Weissensee. My work and studies in Germany have strongly impacted my outlook and approach to design. The ability to view design through a global and holistic lens is truly a powerful tool- one which remains the cornerstone of my academic approach to this day.
