The idea was simple– through a series of brainstorms and mind maps, establish a connection between an animal and a liquid. Once the relationship is set, the goal is to create the perfect vessel, which embodies the spirit of that animal.
Inspired by the social nature and the close proximity of nesting penguins, my goal was to create a vodka bottle which can be intuitively passed from person to person. The elegant spiraling helix form serves as an ergonomic grip for two people simultaneously. The tapering silhouette is reminiscent of the penguin itself and the slow flowing curves are an allusion to the graceful trajectory they take while diving deep into water.
